Cause Effect Agency client Somaly Mam Foundation recently celebrated its annual gala in New York City. Supporters including Susan Sarandon, Nicholas Kristof, Sheryl WuDunn and the Half the Sky team, AnnaLynne McCord, Serinda Swan, Russell Simmons, Anthony Hamilton, Petra Nemcova, and Chloe Flower joined Somaly Mam and other survivors of sex slavery in spreading her message that Life is Love.

Just weeks earlier, AnnaLynne McCord produced her own event on the west coast to support Somaly Mam, attended by Somaly, Ron Livingston, Angel and Rachel McCord, Jimmi Simpson, Serinda Swan and much of the cast of Beverly Hills 90201, including Jessica Stroup, Matt Lanter, Shenae Grimes, Justin Deeley, and Ryan Eggold.

During that event, AnnaLynne revealed a tragic event in her own past that only increases her empathy for what the survivors of sex slavery have been through. Many thanks to AnnaLynne for her extraordinary support, and to all of the Foundation’s dedicated allies who have publicly joined Somaly’s (visionary) mission of ending slavery and empowering survivors.
